Key Holding in Dublin

We become the named key holder for your Dublin premises, so the out-of-hours calls about your building come to our control room instead of your phone.

Key Holding Dublin: how we work

In Dublin, the person on a business's key holder list often lives a long way from the premises. Managers commute from Meath, Kildare and Wicklow, owners live on the other side of the M50, and a call at 3am means a long drive to an empty building with no idea what is waiting there. Many alarm lists are also out of date: people leave, change numbers or are simply on holiday when the alarm activates.

With key holding, we take that role. Your keys are tagged with a code that says nothing about your address and are kept in secure storage, and every time a key is taken out or returned it is logged. You give our details to your alarm company or monitoring centre, and from then on the out-of-hours calls about your premises come to our control room.

Because our officers already hold your keys, they can do more than answer alarms. They can let in a plumber for a burst pipe on a Sunday, open up for a contractor at 6am, meet the fire service or the Gardaí at the door, or lock up properly when the last person out has forgotten to. Every time your keys are used you receive a report saying why, when and what was done.

Our offices are in Dublin 2 and Sandyford, and we hold keys for premises across the city and county, from city centre offices and shops to units on the industrial estates around the M50.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does key holding work in Dublin?
You give us a set of keys and any alarm codes. We store them securely under a reference code, and you add us to your alarm company's key holder list. When the alarm activates or access is needed, a licensed officer attends with your keys.
Are my keys labelled with my address?
No. Keys carry only a reference code. The link between the code and your premises is held separately, and each use of the keys is logged.
Can you let someone into my premises out of hours?
Yes, on your instruction. An officer can open up for a contractor, a delivery or the emergency services, stay if required and lock up again afterwards.
Which parts of Dublin do you cover for key holding?
All of Dublin city and county, including the city centre, Sandyford, Tallaght, Citywest, Blanchardstown, Swords and the business parks around the M50.
