Mobile Security Patrols Across Ireland

Visible security for sites that do not need a guard all night: a licensed officer in a marked vehicle checks your premises at times nobody can predict.

A visible check, at unpredictable times

Plenty of sites are worth protecting but do not justify an officer standing there for twelve hours. A mobile patrol gives you the two things that deter most opportunist crime, a marked security vehicle and a uniformed officer on the ground, for a fraction of the cost of a full-time guard.

On each visit the officer gets out of the vehicle and physically checks the site: doors and shutters, gates and padlocks, windows, the fence line, the yard, outbuildings and any plant or vehicles left overnight. They look for signs that somebody has been there, such as cut fencing, forced locks, dumped waste or moved materials, and they deal with what they find or escalate it to you.

Visit times and routes are changed on purpose. A patrol that arrives at 11pm every night tells a thief exactly when it is safe to work. You choose how many visits you want each night; we make sure nobody can set their watch by them.

What you get

A visible deterrent

A marked vehicle arriving at odd hours makes your site a harder target than the one next door.

Proper physical checks

The officer walks the site and tries the doors, gates and locks. It is not a drive-past.

Proof of every visit

Each patrol is recorded with the time and what was found, so you can see the visits you are paying for.

Locked at night, open in the morning

We can lock the premises after your last member of staff leaves and open it before the first arrives.

Lower cost than a static guard

You pay for visits, not for hours on site, which suits lower-risk premises and tighter budgets.

Problems dealt with

If the officer finds a break-in, damage or an open door, they secure the site and contact you or the Gardaí.

  3. Step 3

    Patrols begin

Officers visit at varied times and complete the agreed checks.

  4. Step 4

You receive the patrol record, with anything unusual flagged.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does an officer check on a patrol visit?
The officer walks the site and checks doors, shutters, windows, gates, padlocks and fencing, looks over plant, vehicles and stock left outside, and looks for signs of entry or damage. The exact list is agreed with you after the site survey.
How many visits a night do I need?
It depends on the site and what has happened there before. Many sites start with two or three visits a night and adjust from there. We will recommend a number after seeing the site.
Are patrols at fixed times?
No. Times and routes are varied deliberately so that nobody watching the site can predict when the next visit will be.
Is a mobile patrol cheaper than a full-time guard?
Yes, considerably, because you pay for visits and not for an officer on site all night. It gives less protection than a permanent guard, so it suits sites where the risk is lower or where there is little to steal quickly.
How do I know the patrols really happened?
Every visit is recorded with its time and the checks carried out, and you receive the record. Anything out of the ordinary is reported to you directly.
Can you lock and unlock my premises?
Yes. Lock-up and unlock visits are a common addition: an officer secures the building and sets the alarm at night and opens up again in the morning.
Can patrols be combined with other services?
Yes. Patrols work well with key holding and alarm response, so the officers who already know your site are the ones who attend if the alarm activates.
