Shamrock Security in Dún Laoghaire
Dún Laoghaire combines a harbour town, a main shopping street and shopping centres, the county council offices, a third-level college, and restaurants, bars and hotels along the seafront, with large residential areas all around. The town is busy into the evening, especially in summer and at weekends, and quiet very early in the morning.
For shops and hospitality venues, the evening and night are when problems happen. Uniformed officers deter theft and anti-social behaviour, support staff at closing time and keep entrances and car parks under control. For premises that close overnight, key holding and alarm response mean an officer, not the owner, attends when the alarm activates.
Offices and public buildings need professional front-of-house officers by day and secure lock-up at night. Apartment developments and managed estates along the coast need patrols of car parks and shared areas and someone to call for out-of-hours problems.
Dún Laoghaire is a short drive from our Sandyford office, and it is part of our regular south Dublin cover, along with Blackrock, Monkstown, Glasthule, Dalkey and Killiney.
