Alarm Response Services Across Ireland

A licensed officer attends your premises when the alarm activates, at any hour, so neither you nor your staff have to walk into a dark building alone.

Someone else takes the 3am call

Most business alarms activate when nobody is there. Somebody then has to get out of bed, drive to the premises and go inside without knowing whether it is a faulty sensor, a door left open or a break-in in progress. With alarm response, that somebody is a trained, licensed security officer instead of you or a member of your staff.

When your alarm company or monitoring centre reports an activation, our control room sends an officer. Using the keys we hold for you, they check the outside of the building, go in if it is safe, find the cause, reset the alarm and lock up again. If there has been a break-in they call the Gardaí, stay with the premises and help arrange a boarding-up or locksmith so the building is not left open.

This matters for Garda response too. Under the Garda policy on monitored alarms, Gardaí need a key holder to attend so the premises can be checked properly, and a key holder who fails to turn up counts against the alarm in the same way as a false activation. Naming us as your key holder means there is always somebody available to go.

What you get

Nobody goes in alone

Your staff are not asked to enter a building at night when an intruder may still be inside.

Covered at every hour

Nights, weekends, bank holidays and the Christmas shutdown are covered in the same way as a weekday.

A control room behind it

Our 24/7 control room takes the call, sends the officer and stays in contact until the premises is secure.

The cause is found

The officer checks doors, windows and the alarm panel so you know why it activated, not just that it did.

Left secure

After a break-in we wait for the Gardaí and help arrange emergency repairs so the building is locked again.

A report by morning

You get a written record of the time of the call, what the officer found and what was done.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when my alarm goes off?
Our control room is told about the activation and sends a licensed officer. The officer checks the outside of the building, goes inside if it is safe, finds the cause, resets the alarm and re-secures the premises. If there are signs of a break-in they call the Gardaí and stay on site.
Do you need to hold keys to my premises?
Yes, in almost every case. Without keys and alarm codes an officer can only check the outside. That is why alarm response is normally combined with our key holding service.
Will the Gardaí respond to my alarm?
Under the Garda policy on monitored alarms, Gardaí respond to personal attack alarms and to verified activations from monitored systems, and they need a key holder to attend. Repeated false alarms can lead to Garda response being withdrawn from a system. Your alarm company can tell you whether your system is monitored and verified.
Does my alarm have to be monitored?
For us to respond automatically, somebody has to tell us it has activated. That is normally a monitoring centre. If your alarm is a bell-only system, talk to us and to your alarm company about the options.
Is alarm response available at night and at weekends?
Yes. The service runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year, including bank holidays.
How long will it take an officer to arrive?
That depends on where your premises is and the time of day, so we do not publish a single figure. We will give you a realistic expectation for your address before you sign up.
Will I get a report after an activation?
Yes. You receive a written report for every call-out, with the time, what the officer found and the action taken.
